The Everett High School Athletic Department held its Fall Sports Banquet on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Anthony’s of Malden. Coaches and players from Everett High’s eight fall teams joined their families and loved ones for the festivities. Special thanks to our head coaches for their leadership and mentorship. Set on a six-acre site, the National Memorial for Peace and Justice is the nation’s first comprehensive memorial dedicated to the legacy of Black Americans who were enslaved, terrorized by lynching, humiliated by racial segregation, and presumed guilty and dangerous.

The EPS is teaming with expert facilitators from Wayfinder to offer professional development (PD) that enables and encourages educators to build community, reconnect with their purpose, and improve morale and well-being.
• Understand key factors that support purpose and well-being.
The PD will help you:
• Understand key factors that support purpose and well-being.
• Apply tools to increase a sense of purpose and manage stress more effectively
• Analyze and reflect on core components of meaning and purpose in one’s career.
The 10-session PD series combines the relevant research on purpose development and practical action steps. Sessions are offered in 60- or 90-minute blocks, depending on the needs and preferences of staff.

Wednesday, November 22nd — To support the efforts of Susan Hogan’s son, who is running the 2024 Boston Marathon as part of Boston Children's Hospital’s Miles for Miracles campaign. Ms. Hogan is kindergarten teacher at the Keverian School, and all final donations should be forwarded to her.
Friday, December 1 — For the thirteenth consecutive year, EHS teacher Neil Plotnick is braving the elements on behalf of Massachusetts Special Olympics. This year, he is taking the 2023 LETR Everett Polar Plunge on December 10, 2023, at the Everett Recreation Center.

Insurance Opt Out Program
The City of Everett’s Health Insurance Opt Out Program is now underway. Here is what you need to know:
● Forms must be submitted no later than Thursday, November 30, 2023. Submitting a form after the deadline might result in the denial of the request.
● All corresponding documentation must be attached, or the request may be denied.
● Forms must be completed in full.
