A Message from the Technology Office
and the Everett Teachers Association
Dear Everett Public Schools Community,
As we approach October, which is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we want to take a moment to thank those of you who have already enrolled in multi-factor authentication (MFA). Your efforts are helping to protect our district and safeguard critical information from potential cyber threats.

To those who have not yet enrolled, we encourage you to do so by October 31, 2024, as we strive to reach 100% enrollment across the district. MFA is an essential layer of protection, and we’re confident that, together, we can reach this goal.

The Everett Teachers Association and the Technology Department are working closely to ensure this process is as seamless as possible. Throughout October, IT representatives will be stationed in school buildings to assist anyone who needs help enrolling. We are committed to making sure that every staff member has the support they need to complete this important step.

We are working with school administration to develop a schedule of times and locations for IT representatives to be available, and we will share those details soon.

Thank you again for your commitment to protecting the district from cyber threats. Your participation is critical to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all. We look forward to teaming up to achieve 100% MFA enrollment by October 31st.

Sincerely,
Joseph Patuto
Chief Technology Officer

Great Teachers Doing Great Things
Instructional Coach and veteran educator Ben Francavilla and the teaching and learning team wants to give a shout-out to Devens School teachers Linda Hart (ELA) and Bethany Boulanger (EL) and paraprofessional Janene Johnson.

Pictured above is a classroom where the three educators co-taught Amplify ELA's Red Scarf Girl Unit 7A: SubUnit 2, Lesson 3. They effectively utilized district-provided scaffolds like translated vocabulary word walls, a Frayer Four-Square, and AmplifyELA visual supports. These strategies were covered during the September 3, 2024, District Wide Middle School ELA Professional Development that focused on rigor and Webb's Depth of Knowledge.
