April Safety Drills
The Everett Public Schools (EPS) is holding mandatory safety drills in April and early May. The sessions will be held afterschool in all EPS schools and are designed to reinforce critical emergency response procedures. If you cannot attend your school’s safety drill, please make arrangements to attend one of the sessions planned at another school.

A Job (Fair) Well Done!
Thanks to the Everett Public Schools (EPS) Human Resources team and the principals, assistant principals, and administrators who planned and staffed our Job Fair on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Everett High School. Thanks as well to the Culinary Arts Department for providing delicious desserts for the event. During the two-hour fair, attendees met and interviewed with school and district leaders about a variety of openings across the district. The EPS will hold another Job Fair on Saturday, May 3, 2025. A Splash of Excitement
Great job by Whittier School administration and staff for organizing an MCAS Pep Rally earlier this week. Symposium Sensations
The Everett Public Schools (EPS) was well represented at a symposium hosted by the Brookline Center’s bryt team at Bentley University’s LaCava Center. The Brookline Center offers this event to districts nationwide that have implemented the bryt model in its schools. The bryt model exists in four EPS schools. The symposium covered topics related to providing critical intervention to students transitioning back to school from hospitalization, to supporting students managing acute emotional dysregulation and addressing root causes of chronic absenteeism. Other symposium sessions included: The Intersection of Executive Functioning and Mental Health; and Building Sustainability for bryt Within Your District; and Practices to Support Establishing a Trauma-Informed bryt Space.
EPS staff who presented to attendees at the symposium were Director of Social Emotional Learning Dr. Brian Wallace and Social Emotional Learning Clinical Supervisor Amanda Benitez.

Leadership Program Application: EPS Cohort Scholarships
The Everett Public Schools strives to inspire and motivate its staff to pursue educational leadership roles to deepen their impact and reach their professional goals. To this end, the district is furnishing scholarships for educators who are pursuing CAGS certification as part of Salem State University’s Fall 2025 cohort. Scholarship amounts will be based on the number of interested candidates.

Street Sweeping Begins April 1st
The City of Everett’s 2025 Street Sweeping Season begins on Tuesday, April 1st. Please check the signs on the streets around our schools for parking restrictions. Cars that are illegally parked are subject to ticketing and towing.

BHCC Seeking Instructors for College-Level Classes
Bunker Hill Community College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach college-level classes in foundations of education and curriculum and instruction.
